Join collage artist John Rose Gentry on Sunday, October 11, from 2 - 4 PM at the American Legion, Post 41, 8110 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, for a fun workshop to stretch your creative muscles and engage with the exciting world of collage. Collage art is one of the most accessible visual mediums there is – we will be supplying a bevy of scissors, glue, and paper materials for all to enjoy. Feel free to bring materials you'd like to use – personal photos, old magazines, or anything you have that you don't mind being ripped up! Check out John's work on his Instagram @johnrosegentryart to get inspired and start thinking about what you may want to create. And feel free to bring a sweet treat to share! This workshop is brought to you by the Silver Spring Timebank.

About the venue: The event will be in the large hall at the American Legion, Post 41, at 8110 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The entrance to the Post is at the entrance to the Fenton Street Garage 4. Just look for the Blue Awning when you enter the open parking area!  It's free to park in the garage and lot on Sunday. The location is also accessible by metro and bus. Upon entering the building, head up to the second floor and straight back to the main hall. There is no elevator.
