The Silver Spring Timebank was founded by community members and continues to grow because of the hard work of SSTB members.  We’re always looking for members to join any of the leadership teams.  Offering your services to the SSTB is a great way to earn timebank hours.

 

Events team

Plans member gatherings to build community which can include potlucks, happy hours, or other sharing projects such as community swaps (clothing, books, tools, etc).  The team meets monthly.

Membership team

Offers support to new SSTB members to navigate the software, brainstorm ideas for offers, and connect to various timebank opportunities.  The team meets monthly.

Outreach team

Spreads the word to recruit new members by tabling at area events and markets, and posting flyers.  Also works to build organizational memberships and find community partners.  The team meets monthly.  

Orientation team

Welcomes new applicants, organizes and presents monthly orientation sessions, and follows up to activate new members.

Tech team

Handles software issues, assists with technology needed for orientations, provides support for SSTB policy decisions.

Leadership team

This is the core leadership group made up of team representatives and any other SSTB member who would like to attend the monthly meeting to discuss steps for continuing to grow the SSTB.
